Has 2020 changed your sense of style? Because it’s definitely changed mine. And I don’t just mean trading heels for flats or jeans for leggings. These days, my style feels edgier, more carefree, more anything-goes than ever before. Simpler and less contrived, and more spontaneous too. And I gotta say, I’m really loving it. At the beginning of this year, I would have never chosen to pair these boots with these pants. Instead, I’d probably opt for something daintier to balance out the toughness of the leather pants. To be honest, after we took these photos, I wasn’t sure I wanted to publish them since I felt like this outfit wasn’t living up to its full potential. But the truth is I’ve come to care less about building a well-balanced, carefully-considered outfit than I do about building comfort, convenience, and ease. Am I settling for taking the path of least resistance? Perhaps. But do I really care anymore? No, and nobody is more surprised than me.
