Have outfit, will party, right? At least that’s the motto I’m going with this holiday season since I currently have zero exciting invitations (I do have a “holiday party” on the calendar for January, but I’m convinced it’s just a regular party — who has a holiday party in January?!). For me, the ideal holiday outfit is one that’s A) buildable to accommodate different temperatures and B) transitional from day to night. There’s nothing worse than an outfit that looks great on its own but is ruined as soon as you throw a coat over it, or one that only works in an evening context. Thus, I present you with what I’m calling my cozy party look. Thanks to the wool shacket I won’t be cold, and all I need to do to take it into a more formal setting is trade the boots for strappy stilettos. At the very least, if those invites don’t start rolling in, I guess I have my January party look sorted…?
