Happy 2021! It’s back to work, back to routine, and back to basics for me. I feel like I say this every January, but there’s just something about the beginning of the year that has me reaching for extra comfy-casual essentials, more so than any other time. Part of it is probably because January is my least favorite month in the year with gloomy weather and nothing to look forward to, so for me, that manifests in how I decide to get dressed. An uneventful month equals uneventful outfits — or something like that. 😜

On a sunnier note, this month is when I’m embarking on my no-buy January mission for the second year in a row! You can read more about why I started the tradition last year here. It’s an exercise in refrain and a chance for me to re-think how and what I’m consuming, although TBH I don’t think this year will be very challenging — my shopping habit has already been on a downward decline since last March anyway. Who knows, maybe the pandemic has forever changed how often I shop? Only time will tell!
