It’s been a busy couple of weekends of travel, first with a trip to LA to visit my sister, then onto Denver to visit my cousin. Traveling to all these warm places has given me the chance to pull out all my favorite summer pieces that I don’t get to wear much in my day-to-day life (unless I’m headed to Napa). Not only that, but there’s just something different about dressing for LA — all the girlies are dressed to impress (whether they like it or not), so wearing this outfit for a coffee run or a sheer skirt to a casual dinner (which I did shamelessly) doesn’t garner weird looks like it would in the Bay. It also gave me the opportunity to break in my new bag and sandals. Even though I already have my Dragon Diffusion tote (which I love and still use) for summer, I wanted one that could more comfortably sit on my shoulder and act as an everyday bag. After lots of deliberation (and waiting to find it secondhand), I settled on this older style of the Loewe basket bag since I find this straw material sturdier. As much as I like the look of the newer style better, I had seen some reviews that the material is super delicate and so the quality doesn’t hold up well over time. I’ve only had my bag for two weeks, but I’ve thrown it around and brought it on the plane four times and it’s held up really well.
