Hello hello! Hope everyone has had a good start to the year. I’ve been deep in wedding planning mode for the last few weeks — finalizing our invitations, wedding website, and registry, scheduling our menu tasting, and meeting with a few vendors. We’re less than five months out from the big day, so things are moving quickly!
On another note, it wouldn’t be a January blog post without a mention of no-buy January. I think this is my third year going strong of doing my annual tradition and it’s gotten easier every year. That being said, I did over-spend in December (oops), so this time around, my no shopping rule is more “my bank account literally can’t take another hit” and less “let’s think about breaking the cycle of consumption.”
This little cropped cardigan was one of those December purchases — I saw Reformation style it with a belted midi skirt and tall boots and have never purchased something (at full price no less lol!) so fast in my life. I don’t often wear a piece styled exactly how the brand has shown it styled on the site (where’s the creativity in that?), but it was love at first sight with the whole look and I knew I could easily recreate it using pieces I already owned — I even added the belt and I never wear belts!
