I am thriving in my chocolate suede fall. Chocolate suede bags, chocolate suede boots, chocolate suede jackets — I want them all! Usually, I like to wait on the fall purchases to see what I actually like/want/need from the incoming trends, but I’ve been sold on suede since the summer, so made the early decision to get the bag and the boots, especially since I don’t have a ton of either suede or dark brown in my closet. Very satisfied with both my decision and these picks — I know I’ll be wearing them for years to come. The first day the weather dipped below 70º, I took them for a spin — even if that spin was just an excursion to Costco.

My first instinct is always to pair dark brown with denim, so that’s exactly what I did here, using two of my most worn denim pieces (that just happen to match each other perfectly) to ground the accessories. The touch of rich suede helps to elevate the simplicity of the outfit and make it feel more seasonal. Chocolate brown with gray and with navy are two other color combinations I’m excited to play around with this season.
