To the delight of comfort dressers everywhere, technical fashion is one of 2025’s biggest trends. Design houses like The Row, Miu Miu, Prada, and Jacquemus sent models down the S/S runway sporting nylon parkas and rain jackets, while bridge brands like Tibi, Staud, and Roucha have recently released nylon sportswear pieces, like technical jackets and pants. I, for one, am loving this trend. In fact, I wish more brands had caught on earlier so I would have had an easier time shopping for my trip to Vietnam back in December. Before leaving, I was on the hunt for a rain jacket exactly like this one — something chic, streamlined, and lightweight that’s easily packable and entirely functional. I couldn’t find anything remotely close to what I was looking for at the time so went with something cheap off Amazon that got the job done. Now, though, there are plenty of good options, including more affordable ones.
I styled this parka zipped up and tucked under to crop it and help highlight my shape a bit more for the photos, but normally, I just wear it loose and unzipped, which gives it a bit more of that effortless vibe. I have some nylon pants I can’t wait to style next!
